The EuroResidue Conferences are intended to include all aspects of the control of residues of veterinary drugs. Special emphasis is placed upon recent developments related to the detection and determination of residues in food, feed and other relevant matrices, pharmaceutical and toxicological studies and veterinary drug registration and regulation.
Previous EuroResidue Conferences were held in 1990, 1993, 1996, 2000, 2004, 2008, 2012 and 2016. The last “Ghent” meeting (the 8th International Symposium on Hormone and Veterinary Drug Residue Analysis, which is complementary to the EuroResidue series) took place in 2018.

Preliminary scientific outline

In addition to the general topics related to the scope of the conference, EuroResidue IX will feature a number of specific topics. Contributions for oral or poster presentation are called for on:

* Advances in screening technology

* Advances in sample preparation

* Confirmation technologies

* Omics

* The environment and residues

* Quality Assurance, Risk Management and Risk analysis

* Analytical criteria and validation

Posters, presentations and photos displayed on this website are still of the Euroresidue conference in 2016. As soon as possible they will be "refreshed" after the conference in 2022.

New date EuroResidue IX; 23th-25th May 2022

Once again, the intention is to bring together experts and interested persons from various scientific disciplines to enable them to discuss recent developments and problems in the field of residue analysis and control, and to debate and exchange
ideas and opinions.

The program includes keynote lectures, oral, poster and flash
presentations, workshops and a display of commercial

Online Course
Validation of Chemical Methods
for Residue Analysis

Date               7 Mar - 13 Apr 2022

Location      Online

Duration      6 weeks | 32 hours

Analytical laboratories that perform chemical analysis on veterinary drugs, toxins, pesticides and contaminants need to demonstrate that their methods are fit for purpose. Multiple validation approaches exist (e.g. EU 2021/808, SANTE/12682/2019, CODEX CAC/GL 71-2009) and it is often unclear how to implement these and how to come to a practical set-up of experiments. In this online course you will learn step by step to draft a validation plan for your own validation case.

Call for Young Scientist Award nominees

At the EuroResidue Conference, the organisers intend to confer a scientific to a young scientist with high potential. It is, however, a challenge to assess all the talent out there in the field. It is for this reason that we are asking for your assistance and invite the residue scientist community to make us aware of candidates for the Young Scientist Award

Conference circular@wur postponed

Considering the new Covid situation, we decided to cancel the Circular@WUR conference on December 6-8th and postponed it to 2022. The new dates for the conference will be April 11-13th 2022.

All facets of the circular  economy will be discussed, also food safety aspects.
